Open Positions

Customer Service Advisor - October 12, 2015

The Chamber is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to find, retain, and engage Chamber members. This full time position is responsible for handling phone, email and walk-in requests for membership, business information, event registration, product sales and service. The Customer Focus Center is committed to providing excellent service to its external customers as well as all internal departments it supports.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures that each customer receives outstanding service by greeting them, providing appropriate information and processing all transactions as quickly and accurately as possible.
  • Understands the Chamber's products and benefits in order to up-sell and cross-sell memberships, meetings, and products.
  • Enters all new members into the Chamber's Personify database each day including their demographic information, key personnel, dues basis and contact tracking followups.
  • Create and process payment of the membership order.
  • Manages the Chamber's member email box, updating all information in Personify within three business days of receipt.
  • Manages the data in the Personify system by making available accurate and timely data for internal and external use.
  • Enter all gold upgrades into the Chamber Personify database each day including their business lists and calendar credits.
  • Provides onsite registration support to assigned meetings and events.
  • Understands the requirements of each meeting and provides accurate and timely meeting rosters, name badges, and table tents to program managers.
  • Works with the Manager, CFC to identify past due programs invoices and makes outbound calls to collect on these outstanding dollars.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  2. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and attention to detail skills
  3. Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills, ability to multitask
  4. Strong computer skills with ability to quickly learn new customer database systems

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree preferred, as well as, previous call center experience. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, proactive, and have experience with Access database software. Sales skills are a plus in helping to cross-promote the Chamber's products and services.

Membership Development Representative - September 14, 2015

The Chamber is seeking a Membership Development Representative to find, retain, and engage Chamber members.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement member development strategy.
  • Penetrate customer targets to generate proposals and close sales by prospecting, qualifying, and securing meetings with decision makers of targeted companies.
  • Identify and present tailored value proposition to prospects and determine appropriate level of membership.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual quotas.
  • Identify market trends to assist in the Chamber's overall marketing strategy and track appropriately.
  • Provide current and prospective member driven recommendations regarding the development of member services that will attract new members for ongoing continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate member information and intelligence in our database in coordination with internal team.
  • Coordinate the processing of membership and communication set up with internal team.

Specific skills desired:

  1. Proven business acumen, relationship management and communication skills
  2. Extensive knowledge of the Cincinnati business community

  5. Reliable transportation with proof of insurance is required for local travel

A minimum of 2+ years of relationship management experience and/or business to business sales experience is desired. Bachelor's degree and/or relative work experience required.
