HR Coordinator - August 13, 2015

The Chamber is seeking a full time HR Coordinator. The HR Coordinator provides support to all human resources activities and programs. The incumbent is responsible for providing support in the areas of HR systems, recruitment and selection, benefits, performance management, training and development, and HR compliance functions.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain electronic personnel records according to federal and state requirements.
  • Process and maintain Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment claims, FMLA, and leave of absences.
  • Support the recruitment processes by posting job ads, collecting resumes, drafting correspondence, scheduling interviews and coordinating drug and background checks.
  • Support the implementation and management of a competitive benefits program by enrolling and terminating employees in selected benefits, monitoring COBRA communications, and communicating payroll deduction changes to the Payroll Coordinator.
  • Support the performance management processes by providing follow up related to completion of online assessments and supporting the data entry of goals into the performance management system.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of all new hires in conjunction with the hiring manager, business services coordinator and information systems.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and separation processing.
  • Support personal development and training needs of associates.
  • Provide support in the development and execution of all staff events and meetings including family events, holiday parties, all-staff meetings, etc.
  • Provide payroll information by creating, collecting and following up on employee and affiliate time sheets.
  • Communicate and coordinate staff meetings, wellness activities, and training sessions.
  • Maintain employee information by entering updated employment and status-change data into the HRIS system and other online websites as appropriate.
  • Gather facts and analyze data using systemic methods (i.e. surveys, focus groups)
  • Advise employees and leaders on HR policies and procedures.

  • Consultation – develops proactive perspectives on projects, gathers and identifies patterns for transactional HR solutions.
  • Business Acumen – basic knowledge of HR metrics, key performance indicators, and trends.

Manager, Customer Service Center - August 13, 2015

The Chamber Customer Focus Center is now hiring a full time manager. The Manager, Customer Focus Center manages and optimizes the daily operations of the Customer Focus Center (CFC) by providing leadership, assistance, and tools to team members. The incumbent must work closely with other parts of the organization to provide strong customer service as well as to prevent and/or address escalated customer situations. The Manager is responsible for managing the data entry, data integrity, meeting product validation, and registration processes in the Chamber’s database system. They are also accountable to generating and sustaining revenue and resources related to retention, engagement, and upselling of current members.

Essential Functions

  • Participate in the development and execution of the chamber’s membership development and retention efforts.
  • Retain the Chamber’s small and middle market business members and engage them in a broad array of Chamber programs and benefits programs.
  • Work with the Marketing department to administer a comprehensive communication and marketing strategy to educate and engage current members.
  • Foster a team environment that provides extraordinary service for customers.
  • Develop, enhance, document, communicate and ensure adherence to CFC’s standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor incoming transaction volumes and make adjustments to staffing & scheduling to ensure adequate phone, email, front desk, on-site event registration, and other coverage given planned and unplanned absences, meetings, etc.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of service by regularly reviewing interactions and orders: identify training issues and opportunities for improving the customer experience.
  • Manage the process to create and make available accurate and timely data to be used for business connections directory, business lists, event calendar, chamber mailings/email and dues billings.
  • Lead and develop a process to manage the registration, web access, product sales, overall membership inquiries, member benefit inquiries and general business information inquires.
  • Mentor, develop and train a high performing CFC staff.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required and three years previous supervisory experience, preferably in a call center environment, preferred.
