Culinary community unites to solve talent needs
More than 60 representatives from restaurants, hotels, and caterers came together at the Chamber last week to discuss unique challenges facing the culinary industry. These challenges include lack of available talent, awareness of training programs, and transportation.
The event, a key part of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s ongoing work to help solve talent challenges of members, featured a panel with representatives from the YWCA, Findlay Kitchen, Cincinnati Cooks, the Midwest Culinary Institute, and the Graydon restaurant accelerator. Participants worked in groups to identify potential solutions to the talent challenges they face, and the group expects to meet again soon.
The Cincinnati Chamber’s Sharahn Monk is working to connect restaurants—and all employers—with available talent resources and is available at any time to talk with our members.
