Chamber member ILP celebrates 28 years

International Language PlusYour Chamber is not the only local business organization celebrating an anniversary this year. International Language Plus, a full-service language center located in Blue Ash, is celebrating 28 years in business. International Language Plus provides customized language learning opportunities, translating and interpreting services, and cross culture training.

Roberts, SandraThe secret to the success of the business can be traced all the way to the top. Sandra Roberts, founder and president, was named Woman of the Year Entrepreneur in 2007 by the Chamber. She has a passion for helping companies worldwide do business with each other by providing first-rate language training and helping ILP students communicate effectively in their target language.

Sandra and her 30+ native-speaking teachers provide a top-quality language program in a positive and supportive environment. Her clients are employees of major corporations, as well as private individuals who want to study a new language. Ten years of teaching abroad have given Roberts an understanding of what it is like to live abroad and try to communicate in a foreign language.

The majority of her corporate students are studying English as a Second Language; others are studying foreign languages ranging from Arabic to French, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and Thai, to name a few. Companies such as GE Aviation, Toyota, Mitsubishi Electric, KAO Brands, Procter & Gamble, and Pioneer Automotive Technologies, are among some of the major corporations sending employees and family members to ILP to learn their new language and benefit from the customized lessons and special care that ILP provides.

International Language Plus has been member of the Chamber for nearly 20 years. Being a part of the Chamber has given Roberts the opportunity to be a member of a CEO Round Table Group; attend informative networking events; meet community leaders; and network with other businesses and benefit from the services and discounts offered by Chamber members to other Chamber members.
