Since 2006, WE Lead has provided personal and professional leadership development to hundreds of women across our region. A part of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s Women Excel (WE) initiative, this dynamic 10-month program offers essential skill building activities, practical learning situations and executive coaching – plus mentoring and support opportunities. Applications for Class 9 (2014-2015) are now being accepted.

The Chamber's WE Lead program is targeted to women on established career tracks who want to gain the skills necessary to advance to higher levels. Designed for accomplished managers, business owners and leaders, the program helps participants:

    • Create a personal strategic plan with clear vision, mission and goals
    • Improve leadership skills and standing within their organization
    • Uncover and overcome obstacles to professional and personal growth
    • Connect with other women leaders to share strategies for dealing with common challenges

"When you join WE Lead, you become instantly connected to a network of some of the most intriguing women leaders in our community," said Lisa Gick, Vice President, Employee Engagement, Macy's. "These women not only challenge you in building your leadership capacity, they become a compelling part of your collegial network for years beyond your WE Lead experience."

"We see the program as an effective way to invest in the personal and professional development of our R&D women," said Laura Lucas, Career Development Team Leader at P&G. "WE Lead gives women the time, space, and external contacts to define personal and professional goals AND the tools to help achieve those goals. The external network is especially important."

WE Lead Class 9 will kick off in September 2014 and conclude in June of 2015. The tuition for each participant is $3,300, which includes all meals, facilities, materials, etc. Partial grants may be available for those with a financial need. A non-refundable $50 application fee is required for processing.

Application deadline is June 16, 2014. Make room for what's important this year and don't miss out on this experience.
