Cincinnati USA Partnership named a top economic development group for 2011
Site Selection magazine has named the Cincinnati USA Partnership as one of the top economic development groups in the U.S. for 2011—the fourth time in five years the Partnership has been recognized. The Cincinnati USA Partnership is the economic development initiative directed by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
2011 was another solid year for the Cincinnati USA Partnership as it won 14 new projects, representing 1,967 jobs and more than $43 million dollars in total investment to the region.
Site Selection magazine, published by Conway Data, is the oldest publication in the corporate real estate and economic development field. It is the official publication of the Industrial Asset Management Council and is considered to be the primary source of information for economic development and site selection executives.
The rankings are based on four objective metrics: new jobs, new jobs per 10,000 residents, new investment amount and new investment per 10,000 residents; and subjective attributes such as innovation, leadership and customer service.
In March, Site Selection also ranked Cincinnati USA sixth in the country in a list detailing the top large metro areas in the U.S. for new and expanded corporate facilities in 2011.
It was Cincinnati’s tenth consecutive year to be ranked in Site Selection’s top 10. Over this span, the region has produced more than 2,100 projects creating almost 88,000 new jobs and a total of $18 billion in new investment.
