Ohio Primary elections are just one week from today on Tuesday, May 6. The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber supports two ballot issues on the upcoming ballot and encourages you to vote “yes” on Issue 1 – the Ohio State Capital Infrastructure Program Renewal and Issue 3 – the Hamilton County DDS Levy Renewal.

Issue 1 is a renewal of Ohio’s State Capital Infrastructure Program (SCIP), a successful program with bipartisan support that has provided critical funding for local road, bridge, sewer and water projects for 27 years, including $320 million in grants and loans to projects in Hamilton County alone. A renewal of the SCIP will not raise taxes.

Issue 3, the DDS levy renewal, authorizes $73.2M per year over five years to provide critical services to residents with complex medical and social needs, without increasing taxes on the business community.  “The Chamber is proud to support the DDS levy renewal. The services provided help individuals with disabilities learn skills that lead to good jobs and better lives,” said Jason Kershner, Interim Managing Director of Government Affairs for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
