Jill MeyerReds Opening Day never disappoints ... and our region also is knocking it out of the park. Last week, Forbes rated Cincinnati one of the best cities for young professionals, Nerdwallet calls our area a great place for recent graduates and KPMG says Cincinnati is the best big city in the U.S. to do business (see Cincy Story below). None of this is a surprise to us, but it sure is fun having others shout it from our hilltops.

The Chamber’s Leadership Action class recently made its first pitch for Untapped Cincinnati. The initiative seeks to fill available manufacturing jobs in our region with returning citizens. Firms including M.A. Folkes, Mesa Industries, and Nehemiah Manufacturing already are finding success and changing generations of lives by hiring people based on “who they are today.” Deep potential awaits other companies willing to join the conversation with these leaders.
