Chamber Gold Member awards Literacy Network with office makeover
Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati is a winner of Modern Office Methods' third annual Jump START Your Nonprofit contest and will receive a $10,000 office technology makeover. Of the 10 Cincinnati finalists, the Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati received the most votes cast online by the public.
"We are pleased to support the Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati," said Steve Bandy, senior vice president of Modern Office Methods. "Jump START is our small way of giving back to our communities, and we are incredibly amazed by the important work done by the Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati."
The Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati champions the development of literacy in the individual, the family, the workplace, the school and the community by raising awareness, improving access and serving as a catalyst for literacy efforts.
Jump START Your Nonprofit is a contest in which Modern Office Methods awards full assessments and technology upgrades to nonprofit organizations in the Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus markets. The highest vote-getter in each market is named a winner. The winner that accumulates the most online votes wins a $20,000 technology upgrade; the next highest vote-getter will receive a $10,000 technology makeover; and the winner with the third-highest number of votes will receive $5,000 in new office equipment.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio is the grand prize winner and recipient of the $20,000 technology makeover. Hannah's Treasure Chest in Dayton is the winner of the $5,000 technology upgrade.
Modern Office Methods, a Gold Member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, was the recipient of the Chamber's 2012 Community Involvement Award, presented at the Small Business Awards on May 10, 2012
