Streetcar grand opening weekend Sept. 9-11

streetcar imageJoin the celebration! All weekend long, riders will be able to travel on the Cincinnati Bell Connector to see, experience and even taste all the activity that exists along the route.

More than 100 restaurants, retailers, arts organizations, bars and businesses along the route will be offering special grand opening weekend discounts, buy-one,-get-one-free deals, pop-up performances and more. A few highlights not to miss include: a streetcar mural tour conducted by Artworks, the Cincinnati Transit History Exhibit with historic streetcar models, uniforms and photos at the Main Public Library, the parade of Mascots on Main St., and free rides on the Carol Ann’s Carousel.

Be sure to get your commemorative Cincinnati Bell Connector grand opening keepsakes! Available for purchase is a $10 commemorative token (good for unlimited rides for the first seven days of revenue service) and a limited supply of the $100 Founder’s cards remain, (good for unlimited rides for 60 days). Both are available for purchase at Metro’s sales office at 120 E 4th St. Rookwood Pottery and Taste of Belgium will also have commemorative items, in addition to a delicious streetcar sundae from Graeter’s and the official streetcar beer from Christian Moerlein Brewing Company.
