- Named “Best Magazine in Ohio” in 2011, Cincinnati Magazine is celebrating its 45th year anniversary this year! Their team blends humor, reviews, narratives, personal and photo essays, and in-depth reports with regular service features on schools, restaurants, neighborhoods, Top Doctors, food, travel, shopping, and the editors' Best of the City picks. Cincinnati Magazine has earned numerous awards including a National Magazine Award nomination for profile writing in 2007; dozens of writing and design awards from the City & Regional Magazine Association; 10 Cincinnati Society of Professional Journalists Awards in 2009 and 8 Ohio Excellence in Journalism Awards, including Best Magazine in Ohio in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. - Since 1988, members of the Steering Committee of Leadership Cincinnati Class 35, led by Cady Short Thompson, have hit the New Hampshire primaries to study presidential campaigns, rhetoric and voter behavior of the first primary elections in the nation. Short Thompson, a professor of communication and dean at the University of Cincinnati, Blue Ash campus, leads a four-person research team every four years to conduct a longitudinal survey research project. - Cincy Magazine and the University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business are presenting the inaugural Power 100 Leadership Forum on Thursday, March 15. The event, created to build a bridge between area leaders and those being trained to lead in the future, features moderator David Szymanski, PhD, Dean of the Lindner College of Business, with panelists Gregory Williams, UC President, the Honorable Mark Mallory, Mayor of the city of Cincinnati and Nick Vehr, President, Vehr Communications.
