Greater Cincinnati kicks off 2016 with jobs, capital investment
The year began on a high note for economic development in Greater Cincinnati. On Monday, January 25, REDI Cincinnati announced three projects were approved at the Ohio Tax Credit Authority board. These commitments are expected to create close to 150 jobs, retain more than 300 jobs and generate $4.75 million in capital investment. The projects include:
- Quotient Technology Inc. (formerly Coupons.com): is a leading digital promotion and media platform that connects brands, retailers and consumers. Quotient distributes digital coupons and media through a variety of products. Its network includes its flagship site Coupons.com, approximately 30,000 publisher partners, mobile apps, as well as the many apps it powers on behalf of its leading retailers. Quotient plans to expand its office operations to the Kenwood Collection in Sycamore Township to accommodate its growing business.
- Planes Moving & Storage Inc.: A United Van Lines agency, is a nationally recognized leader in the relocation and transportation industry. Planes Moving & Storage Inc. plans to expand its current headquarter facility and construct a new 65,000-square-foot warehouse in West Chester Township.
- Reztark Design Studio, LLC: Specializes in architecture, interior design, graphic design, master planning, urban planning and industrial design. The company outgrew its existing location and plans to expand to continue its growth with both domestic and international clients. REDI Cincinnati met Reztark during the 2015 NewCo conference.
Additionally, Veritiv Corporation announced plans to locate its regional office in the City of Fairfield. The company plans to move into the 72,000-square-foot space at the Gilmore Pointe building in fall 2016. This move retains 400 jobs in the Greater Cincinnati region and will make Veritiv one of Fairfield’s ten largest employers.
