    Chamber Government Affairs

How much government advocacy work do you typically do for your business? Well, the reality is, you're probably too busy handling everyday challenges like increasing sales, decreasing expenditure, getting the word out, and building business relationships, to take time to write or call your congressman regularly. That's why the Chamber is so dedicated to carrying the voice of Cincinnati USA's business community to City Hall, the Statehouse, and the Capitol. While the Government Affairs staff lobbies on your behalf, nothing is as effective as legislators hearing directly from the business leaders.

That's why we're excited to invite you to two upcoming advocacy opportunities: a Small Business Seminar on February 10 and our Columbus Drive-In on February 26.

Small Business Seminar: Cutting Taxes and Growing Ohio Small Business

Ohio-LogoThis tax filing season, virtually all small businesses in Ohio will, for the first time, benefit from a 50% tax deduction on the first $250,000 of business income. That deduction is part of Ohio's $2.7 billion tax cut enacted last year by Ohio Governor John Kasich and the Ohio General Assembly that is cutting tax rates for all Ohio taxpayers. You are invited on Monday, February 10, to find out more about how Ohio is cutting small business taxes, red tape, and the costs that small businesses incur in order to grow and prosper. Please join us to hear directly from the top executive officers of four state agencies on the front lines of the ongoing effort to build a strong Ohio by helping build strong Ohio businesses.
