Represent Our Region: A Day at the Statehouse
Please join us on March 29th as the Chamber hosts the 2011 Columbus Drive-In: A Day at the Statehouse. The Chamber will take about 50 Chamber members to Columbus for a day to discuss the state budget, taxes, regulations, transportation investment and a number of other issues with elected and state officials.
On January 10th, John R. Kasich was sworn in as Ohio’s 69th Governor. Governor Kasich promises new policies and programs, helping to turn Ohio’s stalled economy around in the process.
Similarly, the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate have new leadership. Ohio House Speaker William Batchelder and Ohio Senate President Tom Niehaus have pledged to work with the new Governor in his efforts to jump start Ohio.
Even before Governor Kasich’s inauguration, his Administration asked stakeholders throughout the state to send their best ideas for improving the state economy. The Chamber, with input from our members, submitted a letter detailing Southwest Ohio’s key priorities and pledged to work with the Governor and the General Assembly in order to improve the state’s business climate.
Help us convey the voice of Southwest Ohio’s business community and join the Chamber for the 2011 Columbus Drive-In. For further questions, please call Tom Ewing at 513-579-3176.
