Securing the Future to feature national nonprofit experts

SecuringFuture75x90.gifThe 2011 Securing the Future Conference is your backstage pass to nonprofit success. Join the Chamber on Wednesday, April 6, 8:00 a.m.– 1:00 p.m. at the Cintas Center at Xavier University and hear from national nonprofit experts, Rosetta Thurman, author of How to Become a Nonprofit Rockstar, and Paul Carttar, director of the Social Innovation Fund. Also, find out what motivates sports stars in Cincinnati to partner with local charities during the celebrity panel discussion.

The guest speaker list for this year’s Securing the Future conference will not disappoint. With two featured speakers, three celebrity panelists and a moderator, the audience will leave with the right insights needed for nonprofit success.

Rosetta Thurman will share her insights into what she calls the "New Leadership," and how to manage social change and "multi-generational" employees.

The Securing the Future celebrity panel will give their insights on what motivates the sports stars in Cincinnati to partner with local charities. Learn how your nonprofit can connect with sports stars, what types of partnerships work best and the key elements in maximizing the partnership for both the nonprofit and the celebrity. This is your backstage pass to our local stars.

Lastly, hear from Paul Carttar about how social entrepreneurship can strengthen your nonprofit and hear strategies proven to help position your organization for future growth and profitability.

“This is the tenth year for Securing the Future and we have a stellar program planned,” said Laurie Brinkman, program manger at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. "We always host national speakers who bring innovative ideas to our nonprofit members, however, this year we are also hosting a panel of celebrity speakers who will teach attendees how to raise their nonprofit profile by collaborating with 'high-status' partnerships. This is a not-to-miss conference!"

    About Securing the Future:

Securing the Future is an annual conference dedicated to building the strategic and resource development skills of the staff of Greater Cincinnati nonprofits. Securing the Future started as a project of Leadership Cincinnati Class XXIV (2001). Since then, the program has continued every year as a volunteer-led effort, making it one of the longest surviving Leadership Cincinnati class projects.

The program typically draws an audience of 200-300 nonprofit executives, fundraisers, board members, funders and more.
