Partnership international travels: GE wins big
The Cincinnati USA Partnership for Economic Development team continues to ramp up the pace for their international strategy.
Paris Air Show
Trevor Hamilton, vice president of Economic Development for the Cincinnati USA Partnership, recently traveled to the town of Le Bourget, France, for the largest and longest running aerospace trade show in the world, the Salon International de l'Aeronautique et de l'Espace (International Paris Air Show. This year 2,113 international exhibitors and 151,000 visitors visited the event. The Partnership teamed up with JobsOhio to exhibit the benefits of doing aerospace business in Ohio in an effort to attract new business to the region.
GE, headquartered here in Cincinnati, OH, scored big at the event. During the Paris Air Show, GE Aviation and its partnership boasted over $26 billion in orders. This includes the $8.6 billion-dollar order from AirAsia.

Next stop was Germany where Hamilton attended Intersolar, the world's largest exhibition for the solar industry with 1,500 exhibitors. During the event and traveling to strategic meetings in Germany, Hamilton, on behalf of the Partnership met and connected with notable contacts and visited companies like Festo and Mannheim.
