The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber's 2012 WE Link/ATHENAPowerLink® advisory panel recipient is Denise Flickner of HealthWorks.
WE Link, based on the national ATHENAPowerLink®program, guides women business owners in achieving strategic goals by providing them with access to volunteer advisory panels of industry experts for one year. Each advisory panel is hand-selected to match the needs of each woman business owner and focuses on helping her maximize the growth and profitability of her businesses.
Healthworks was chosen from among a number of applicants based upon the company's track record of success and potential for growth. Over the next year, Flickner will work closely with her panel to develop her business through open discussions on her goals for the business and the issues she's facing. All of this is done with the ultimate goal in mind - to strengthen her business and come out even stronger after she graduates the program.

HealthWorks, in business since 1999 and solely owned by Denise Flickner, is a third party provider of worksite wellness services which include on-site biometric health screens and health assessments; health education programming; worksite flu shot clinics; and aggregate corporate reporting/consulting to help organizations track and lower their employee health risks.
HealthWorks was developed with the belief that people have the ability to control and/or prevent many diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and certain types of cancers through lifestyle modification. By bringing our health screen testing to the worksite, we make it convenient, more cost effective and easier for
companies to implement.
"The wellness industry has dramatically changed since the business began in 1997. In the '90s, many organizations viewed worksite biometric screening and health assessments as a nice offering for employees. Organizations are now realizing the costs associated with conditions such as obesity, rising incidents of chronic diseases, and an aging workforce. The industry has since gone from believing the health screens and health education programs were a nice thing to provide to now being a necessity to control sky rocketing healthcare costs."
WE Link is now recruiting volunteer advisors among seasoned entrepreneurs and top-notch professionals, especially those with expertise in strategy, sales, marketing, accounting, human resources and operations. Advisory panelist opportunities are open to both professional men and women dedicated to providing
consistent guidance to a women business owner over one year. The approximate total time commitment for a volunteer advisor is 12 to 14 hours over one year. Please contact Diana Long at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to be considered.
