REDI, top #StartupCincy companies showcase expertise at world's largest biohealth conference

From June 6-9, 2016, REDI Cincinnati’s Kimm Coyner and Stacie Dastoor led a delegation from Ohio to San Francisco for BIO International, the largest biohealth conference in the world.

The goal? To partner with companies from across Ohio, including JobsOhio, BioOhio, CincyTech, Airway Therapeutics, Eccrine Systems, Enable Injections and IncludeFitness, to demonstrate why Greater Cincinnati is the best place for biohealth companies.

REDI and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, one of the largest pediatric research facilities in the world, hosted an exclusive VIP event with more than 400 vetted companies looking to partner with the hospital while attending BIO International.

“This is an example of bringing the ecosystem with us to tell the Greater Cincinnati story,” said Kimm Coyner, vice president of business development and projects for REDI Cincinnati. “Bringing these companies validates world-class expertise and innovation is happening in our region and provides third-party testimonials from companies experiencing the benefits of doing business in Greater Cincinnati.”

Regional companies, as well as two startups from Cleveland's Bio Enterprise, were invited to promote their companies and Ohio to a global audience.

“The Ohio booth was collaboration at its best,” said Stacie Dastoor, director of marketing for REDI Cincinnati. “As the regional economic development engine, REDI helps local companies thrive by expanding our business community. Participating in a conference with successful regional companies introduces them to new partnerships while clearly demonstrating the advantages Ohio and Greater Cincinnati provide to biohealth prospects."
