Precision Staffing CEO finds Chamber roundtable invaluable
Precision Staffing Services CEO Scott Simpson has found Chamber membership - in particular the CEO Roundtable - to be vital to building his business in the Cincinnati USA region.
Simpson is second generation in Precision Staffing, his mother Judy Simpson founded Precision Staffing Inc. in Kentucky in 1982. She built the business out from Lexington, at one point holding the sole contract for staffing at Toyota. Fast forward to 2008: Judy needed a Lexington branch manager, and offered the position to Scott.
"I was working in corporate finance at Convergys at the time," said Simpson. "After much discussion, we decided to continue the growth of Precision Staffing into the Cincinnati market."
Precision Staffing uses a performance-based staffing strategy to track performance indicators based on the clients' goals. According to Simpson, his approach reduces turnover and time-to-hire, while improving the overall quality of placements. Industries served include legal, medical, financial, customer service and general administrative support.
"We're NOT all things to all people," said Simpson. "We have a specialty niche and we do it really well."
Precision Staffing's tactics are working. The company just celebrated its five-year anniversary, and counts area global industry leaders as clients.
"Our Chamber membership has been hugely helpful, especially the CEO Roundtable," said Simpson. "I can share ideas, issues and challenges with the group - confidentially - and get valuable feedback and advice. The Chamber is always there to help and support our business."
Precision Staffing was recently nominated for the Chamber's Blue Ash Business Award. Winners were announced at a March 21 luncheon featuring keynote speaker Dr. Yousuf Ahmad, Division Senior Vice President and Chief Network Transformation Officer at Mercy Health.
