Chamber’s Tammy Riddle is one of the Enquirer’s 'Women to Watch'
From hospital emergency room to Ohio's highest court, the Enquirer picked 13 women are making a difference this year. The Chamber's Tammy Riddle is one of the women picked to watch. Tammy is Development Director for IT, insurance and finance for the Cincinnati USA Partnership.
Why she's worth watching: She's part of an ambitious team of area employers and universities working to solve an IT talent gap that threatens to stall job and business growth. Their goal: Identify all the information technology jobs needed in the next five years - and fill them with top local prospects.
Resident of: Oakley
Backstory: A graduate of the University of Cincinnati's Carl H. Lindner College of Business, Riddle previously was the economic development director for the city of Sharonville and a market analyst for community development agency Property Advisors.
Her goals this year: Riddle is working closely with IT, finance and insurance companies to understand their talent and training needs.
Long term, the goal is to make Cincinnati the place where companies go to source IT projects and services like development, applications, analytics and business intelligence.
Quotable: "It's rare to find the common thread that can rally a region. This is one of them."

Also this year, The Cincinnati USA Partnership sent Tammy to this year's South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas to elevate Cincinnati as the top choice for businesses that want to expand or set up shop in the Midwest. The five-day event included presentations in technology, networking events, and a trade show.
Riddle also contributed blog posts from the conference, reporting on the innovations, how Cincinnati can benefit from the issues discussed at the conference and how the region is represented at the conference.
