Savings and safety, what more can you ask for?

The Drug-Free Safety Program (DFSP) is a voluntary program that encourages employers to detect and deter substance use and misuse, and take appropriate corrective action within the context of addressing overall workplace safety. Employers making a commitment to drug testing and employee assistance programs could be eligible for a Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) premium rebate of 4% or 7%. Qualifying participants may also be eligible for a grant from the BWC for implementation costs associated with this program. The rebate you receive is determined by the BWC based on the program you choose, either Basic or Advanced. And, you can receive the DFSP rebate in addition to other discounts you may be receiving through the group rating program, Destination: Excellence, $15k Program, or Safety Council.

To enroll in DFSP, you must submit your applications to BWC by the last business day of May for the July 1 to June 30 program year along with a Safety Management Self-Assessment. Click here to get started.
