New, fresh resources for YPs
Now available: new 2011-2012 City Guide. HYPE (Harnessing Young Professional Energy)--the Chamber's young talent attraction and retention initiative--partners with Cincinnati Magazine to produce this helpful reference guide to all things Cincinnati USA. Find out about all of our neighborhoods, learn the lingo, rediscover cool and unique venues, restaurants and shops. Find out all about our regional school districts and get connected to all things Cincinnati USA. This annual issue is perfect for new recruits, new to-towners and even those not-so-new to the region.
A perfect pair with the City Guide is the new "Distinctly Local" HYPE map. Highlights include local businesses and area landmarks. The slick, full-color map outlines the Cincinnati core, as well as Newport and Covington in Northern Kentucky and is geared to a walkable, urban young professional. HYPE connected with three young professionals and community volunteers who formed their own company--Distinctly Local LLC. Joe Hansbauer, Doug Brauch and JohnMark Ouderslyus spearheaded the map project with support from HYPE. The maps are geared towards people in the city during a long weekend or an event, as well as those recently transplanted or planning to move to the city.
A cool feature of this map is that the locations are measured in walk time. The map will be included in new hire packets for Chamber members, and will also be distributed at area hotels, convention centers and real estate offices. Eventually the map could be online as well.
Both of these items are available as part of the Chamber’s popular New Resident Kit. Copies may be ordered online.
