Big time growth in the region
The Business Courier Commercial Developers Power Breakfast, held May 1, 2012, hosted over 650 business leaders. The event featured Laura Brunner, CEO of The Port Authority, who discussed how The Port is looking into potential projects to build a diversified portfolio across Hamilton County, including higher-risk, higher-return projects, as well as others that offer lower returns at lower risk. Brunner was joined by other Port Authority officials to discuss the agency's expanded role in regional development and to respond to questions from panel moderator and Business Courier senior reporter Dan Monk. The panel included Paula Boggs Muething, the Port's general counsel; Susan Thomas, its vice president of public finance; and board chair Otto Budig Jr.
The breakfast also hosted The Partnership’s annual Growth Awards, giving them the opportunity to showcase the exciting growth of four local companies - Eagle Manufacturing, Intelligrated, Total Quality Logistics and Mercy Health. In order to help you get to know these companies and their growth stories, these four companies will be highlighted in Currents starting with Eagle Manufacturing. With plans to invest over $40M in new equipment at the Florence facility and to double their workforce, this is a story you will want to hear. Learn more on Eagle Manufacturing.
