    Zoo Festival of Lights 1

A brand new entrance is the first thing you’ll notice as you pull up. A huge parking lot, covered in solar panels, leads the way into the new court yard. Just down the path is the new AFRICA exhibit that opened over the summer. Here, guests have the option of getting nose to nose with John the Lion, standing on a deck overlooking the scenic river, or watching cheetahs race at top speeds- all done to the greenest standards and LEED certifications.

Zoo Festival of Lights 2PNC Festival of Lights, the Tri-State's longest running holiday tradition, has become one of the biggest and brightest events in the region for the holidays. More than two million lights twinkle through the park with enough shows and festivities to keep you entertained the entire evening. PNC Festival of Lights runs November 23, 2013 through January 4, 2014. Zoo members are invited to a special preview night on Friday, November 22nd from 5pm - 10pm to help kick off the PNC Festival of Lights with the Official Tree Lighting Ceremony in Vine Street Village.

Also new this year at the zoo, are two event venues which can hosting more than 500 catered events. The Zoo outgrew their existing venues and created an amazing outdoor venue overlooking their Africa exhibit and a top of the line indoor venue for all of your meeting, party, or reception needs.

So if you haven’t been to the Zoo, take your friends, your family, or your company to experience something new and exciting. They promise, you’ll have a “zoo-nique” time.
