Immigrant portal announced
The community joined Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley and Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber President Jill Meyer for an update and celebration of our progress in making Cincinnati “the most welcoming city in America for immigrants" this afternoon, Tuesday, November 1.
Highlights included the success of the MARCC ID Card rollout, the passage of a Wage Enforcement Ordinance in Cincinnati and the premier of a new online navigator, named Cincinnati Compass, to the region for immigrants, internationals, refugees and all who want to connect and support immigrant integration.
The portal is a project that the Chamber has led with the support of more than 60 community partners. The University of Cincinnati provided primary funding to support the development of the portal. The City of Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky University and Xavier University was also thanked for their support.
