Partnership to focus on start-ups in upcoming events

Two upcoming events this September: Upstart, and Everywhere Else Cincinnati, are designed to provide useful info, resources and connections for start-up companies looking to stay -- and grow -- in Cincinnati USA!

September 19, presented by UpTech and sponsored by the Cincinnati USA Regional Partnership & Minority Business Accelator

UPSTART is a free night of networking and learning focused on helping entrepreneurs and investors see what resources are available in the startup business cycle space.  "We see entrepreneurs struggle with navigating through the jungle of resources and identifying what programs are best suited for their needs. We wanted to provide a cool event that served to shed light on all the resources available," UPSTART chair Amanda Greenwell said in a news release.

    September 29-October 1

Over 1,000 entrepreneurs, investors and creatives will converge upon downtown Cincinnati at the Everywhere Else Cincinnati start-up conference, September 29-October 1 at Duke Energy Convention Center. The conference features two full days of presentations from nationally recognized speakers, a Start Up Village with displays from 60+ start-up firms, a pitch competition between the region's most promising start-ups and multiple networking events.

Cincinnati USA Partnership for Economic Development and CincyTech are partnering with Nibletz Media to sponsor the conference, designed to help startups and entrepreneurs while promoting the local start-up community. "We're turning up the volume on digital," offers Tammy Riddle, Cincinnati USA Partnership economic development director who oversees the IT/Finance/Insurance cluster. She continues, "There's tremendous demand for IT talent in this region, and there's never been a better time to start - or grow - your business here."

Two of the event moderators, BrandHUB director Nicole Ball, and CincyTech president & CEO Bob Coy, agree. "Cincinnati USA is BrandHUB. Our concentration of corporate marketers, marketing and branding agencies, research and data analytics companies and digital strategy firms in the world is driving innovation in the way companies get started, get products to market and grow," offers Ball.  Adds Coy, "More than 70% of the attendees are expected to come from outside the region, and nearly all of the startups are focused on software development.  CincyTech is pleased to team up with the Cincinnati USA Partnership to sponsor, promote and welcome this startup conference."
