New Oktoberfest site attracts 650,000
Oktoberfest Zinzinnati’s site at Second and Third streets saw 650,000 visitors, September 16-18, according to police estimates. This ties the record estimated Oktoberfest Zinzinnati attendance figures of 2014 and 2015.

- Joey Chestnut was three shy of his world record, but won the Glier’s World Brat Eating Championship by downing 67 bratwursts in just 10 minutes.
- FC Cincinnati attracted a massive crowd to lead the World’s Largest Chicken Dance on the Sam Adams Main Stage.
“The overwhelming success of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is a testament to what our region can do when we all work together,” said Jill Meyer, president and CEO of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, producer of the event. “Thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored and collaborated to bring a palpable excitement to Oktoberfest Zinzinnati’s site at Second and Third streets.”
“Oktoberfest Zinzinnati saw a safe, successful weekend due to the dedication and diligence of our partners with Cincinnati Police, Fire, Traffic and Engineering, ODOT and many more,” added Cynthia Oxley, director of Oktoberfest Zinzinnati. “Thanks to their year-round planning, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati saw no police incidents.”
Oktoberfest Zinzinnati 2017 is scheduled for September 15-17.
