FC Cincy: sell out the playoffs!

FC CincinnatiLindner, Carl H. IIIThis year, FC Cincinnati has been blessed to demonstrate to the rest of the national (and much of the international) soccer community what those of us who call Cincinnati home have known for some time…We are a Big League Sports Town.

In April, as our Inaugural Season got underway at home in Nippert Stadium, it would be fair to say most people did not know what to expect. We believed we would have a winning soccer team and an exciting game environment at Nippert, but beyond that, we had our hopes.

Then YOU CAME, and DELIVERED record crowds, first 20,000 plus (twice), then more than 23,000, and at our last match, over 24,000 fans bought tickets and cheered on our team. And remember the first-ever international friendly versus Crystal Palace, when an Ohio-record 35,061 came out to support FC Cincinnati and enjoy a fun night of soccer entertainment.

Now this Sunday at 4 PM in Nippert Stadium, FC Cincinnati will host our first home playoff match in the first round of the USL championship.  And we know that when our major league teams have a home playoff game, the expectation is to SELL IT OUT. As Cincinnati’s newest big league team – we are hoping to meet expectations and ask for your help to SELL IT OUT!

We SOLD OUT the friendly that didn’t count in the standings – so now we want to SELL OUT the playoffs where it’s win or go home, where we have a great opportunity to secure that elusive postseason advance that Cincinnati sports fans are so hungry to achieve.

The good news is that we have kept our ticket prices family friendly, as they have been all year. Fans can buy tickets for as little as $10 per person. We want every fan, every family, to be able to come down and support the team in a fun environment.

If you have been to a game this year, come back. If you have not been, there is not a better time than Sunday – in what may be the final home game of the year.

And to add to the fun, the match will be a White Out, so the players will wear our white kit, and we encourage fans to do the same.

Cincinnati, you have tremendously embraced us in our Inaugural Season – and now this playoff game becomes the chance for the biggest highlight yet. For Cincinnati, we are asking fans to be all in with us.

Thank you and God Bless,

Carl H. Lindner III
