Crystal Faulkner to serve on Small Business Advisory Council
Crystal Faulkner, co-founder and partner at Cooney Faulkner & Stevens, and a Chamber Board member, has been appointed to serve on the new state-wide Small Business Advisory Council which was established as part of CSI Ohio, the Common Sense Initiative. Faulkner is one of nine members who will serve in this capacity and the only appointee from Cincinnati.
“We have earned a reputation as problem-solvers and advocates for small businesses seeking to navigate the complexities and barriers they face,” said Faulkner. “However, we don’t want to stop at just helping our clients understand the rules for business in our state – we want to influence those rules to create a better business climate. This council gives us a unique opportunity to take this commitment to a new level on behalf of the small business community.”
The Small Business Advisory Council was established to advise the Governor, Lt. Governor and CSI Ohio on the effects Ohio's business regulations have on small businesses. Individuals appointed to this council must have a small business background and represent small businesses of various types, sizes and geographic locations throughout Ohio.
"The individuals selected have successfully started and grown their own businesses,” said Senator Neihaus. Their experience and knowledge will be a great asset as CSI reviews the many rules and regulations that hinder innovation and job growth in Ohio. Our state needs to attract and create jobs, and this council will provide critical guidance as we work to understand what our entrepreneurs and small business owners need to be successful.”
“I am very selective about the leadership roles I accept because our clients will always come first,” said Faulkner. “To me, being in a position to positively impact the growth and success of businesses is time well spent.”
Cooney Faulkner & Stevens has been a member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber since 2000.
