Cincinnati Chamber Creates New Role to Build Regional Transportation Effort

Experienced, respected transportation policy advocate, Pete Metz joins Chamber

CINCINNATI—September 6, 2016—The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber has hired Pete Metz as its new Transportation Policy and Coalition Manager. Metz will be responsible for developing and executing the Chamber’s transportation strategic plan. Most recently, he served as chief of staff for Vice Mayor David Mann and previously held positions with Transportation for America and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

“The Chamber has heard from regional businesses regarding the importance of transportation to the region’s competiveness,” said Jill Meyer, president and CEO of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and recent appointee to the Hamilton County Transportation Improvement District board. “Pete Metz will be part of a team that strengthens our advocacy approach to improve public transit, invest in infrastructure, and build a new Brent Spence Bridge.”

“Transportation touches all pillars of the Chamber’s work, expanding our talent base, harnessing our unique offerings and being a bold voice for business” offered Brendon Cull, senior vice president and COO for the Chamber and board member of the Southwestern Ohio Regional Transit Authority.
