Parks OV Electric Joins Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s
Minority Business Accelerator
CINCINNATI—February 4, 2015 —The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber’s Minority Business Accelerator (MBA) announced the addition of Parks OV Electric, LLC to the organization’s portfolio. Parks OV Electric, LLC is a full service electrical contractor, providing electrical construction and design services to the commercial and industrial markets.
“We believe the MBA will push Parks OV to the forefront,” said Ben Parks, Jr., President of Parks OV Electric. “Joining the MBA can help us build relationships with great Cincinnati corporations like Macy’s, Kroger, Cintas, and P&G.” Currently, Parks OV is fulfilling contracts for General Electric, The Banks phases II, Avondale Redevelopment, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
The MBA focuses on growing sizable minority-owned businesses based on the belief that those firms have the greatest potential to have the biggest impact on the region through the economic stimulus of job creation.
“This portfolio addition emphasizes not only the measured growth of our MBA, but strong minority advancement in construction and design,” said Crystal German, Vice President of the MBA and economic inclusion at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
Through work with portfolio companies, the MBA improves the capacity of local minority-owned businesses to serve as suppliers to corporations. The MBA also works to secure an annual spend goal from local corporations (MBA goal-setters) to procure goods and services from minority-owned firms.
Currently, the MBA has 35 portfolio firms and 40 goal-setters.
