WE Speak: Beyond the Bios
Go beyond the bios of two highly successful women business leaders in an interactive forum to share experiences, advice and lessons learned.
Kathleen Daly is senior vice president and CFO of Messer Construction Co. In 1970 few accounting jobs were open to women when Messer Construction hired Kathy Daly to meet Procter & Gamble's requirement for diverse accountants on its projects. Thirty-nine years later, Kathy leads Messer as senior vice president and CFO. She credits P&G's forward thinking for jumpstarting her career. A Leadership Cincinnati alum, Kathy actively serves the community on the Board of Directors of the Easter Seals Work Resource Center; Executive Committee of The Economics Center for Education & Research and the Board of the Spirit of Construction Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, Inc. She was honored as a YWCA Career Woman of Achievement in 2000, the Leading Women Award in 2001 and received the 2003 Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award from the University of Dayton School of Business.
Celine Piri is president and CEO of TariCel Management Staffing. Celine has never been afraid to face the unknown. After moving alone to England from her native Nigeria after high school, she soon began climbing the executive ranks at AT&T at a time when few women held technical management positions. While at AT&T, she founded the Women of AT&T Cincinnati Chapter. In 2003, Celine established TariCel Management Staffing and has since grown her company to include 15 full-time employees and 1,800 temporary employees. She devotes much of her time to mentoring inner-city women and serving on the Boards of minority-focused and human resources organizations. Celine was runner-up for WE Celebrate's 2007 Woman of the Year award and was named a 2008 YWCA Career Woman of Achievement.
