As ironic as it may seem, change is the only constant in our lives. How we respond to and initiate change can have everything to do with how well we manage our lives and the success we experience. Making successful transitions requires both practical strategies and emotional fortitude, and those who are resilient are better able to navigate each change. Because nearly all of life’s transitions have a financial tether, it is important to consider how we can increase financial resilience.
In this interactive discussion, we will look at some of the common transitions we face in our lives and discuss the financial implications, including:
- Preparing for retirement
- Concerns about an aging parent
- Selling a business
- Child going to college
- Purchasing a vacation home
- Changing jobs or careers
- Eric Ross, CFP®, Financial Planning Specialist & Principal
- Claire Beams, CPA, CFP®, RhineVest Advisor
- Kate Brownstein, CFP®, Financial Planning Specialist
All registered attendees will have the opportunity to complete a very brief survey prior to the session, helping them identify transitions they are currently experiencing as well as those that are likely to occur in the future. The feedback from this survey will help guide our presentation and discussion.
