Government Affairs Committees & Councils
Get involved with the Cincinnati Chamber’s advocacy efforts by joining a committee or participating in Government Affairs Council meetings.
Government Affairs Council
All Cincinnati Chamber members are welcome to attend and participate at Government Affairs Council (GAC) meetings. The GAC meets throughout the year at the Chamber. Join us to learn about issues on which the Chamber is working and how they impact your business, and share your insights and discuss key legislation as it relates to the business community. Throughout the year, ad-hoc task forces will be convened, as needed and for a defined amount of time, to analyze specific policy proposals and legislation.
Government Affairs Executive Committee
The Government Affairs Executive Committee (GAEC) is an advisory group consisting of 15 Chamber members that discuss, vote on and recommend policy positions that are then developed by the Government Affairs team. The GAEC drafts positions that are aligned with the Cincinnati Chamber’s three central policy focus areas: Economic Development, Transportation and Inclusion. If you are interested in becoming a member of the GAEC, contact our Government Affairs Activator.
