Mount St. Joseph University

Mount St. Joseph University has over 30 years of experience in cooperative education since 1984.

Co-op at the Mount is available to undergraduate students from all majors. Students may co-op with an employer one semester or multiple semesters, depending on employer need and student availability. Students at the Mount typically co-op part-time (parallel co-op) during the fall and spring semesters and full-time during the summer semester to ensure students may still graduate within four years. Co-op is transcripted each semester a student co-ops and students can earn up to nine credit hours for co-op during their time at the Mount.

A co-op coordinator is assigned to each student to serve as a liaison between the employer, the student, and the faculty coordinator. Each student is assigned a faculty coordinator who conducts a co-op site visit to assist in connecting classroom learning to the work experience and to facilitate an information exchange between industry and curriculum.
