Xavier University, founded in 1831, strongly encourages the pursuit of experiential education opportunities across all disciplines.

Xavier provides a pathway for internship exploration in our over 90 undergraduate majors, 58 undergraduate minors and 20 masters programs. Our experiential opportunities are offered within three colleges: Arts & Sciences; Professional Sciences, and the Williams College of Business.

At Xavier University, the majority of our students participate in an experiential education opportunity each year. Internships, co-ops, research based experience, volunteer learning opportunities, and practica student work experiences may go by different names, but they all provide valuable career-related experience that make Xavier students highly marketable in the global workplace. Xavier proudly boasts an average 98% career success outcome rate that directly relates to our emphasis in experiential education.

Our centralized Career Development Office serves as a comprehensive “one-stop” resource for all students, alumni and employer recruitment needs. Whether it’s helping students identify the right resource for career success or assisting employers in developing targeted on-campus engagement plans, our personal approach produces successful outcomes.
