Apprenti Cincinnati is designed to recruit and train professionals based on their aptitude, not their background. Prior to full-time training, candidates are selected for apprenticeship roles by local employers, such as Kroger Technology and Great American Insurance Group. Employers pay for the technical training and continue to educate their apprentices through paid on-the-job training (OJT) for one year.
Since the program launched in February 2019, Apprenti Cincinnati has placed more than 30 talented professionals into a variety of IT roles.
- Four training providers: Cincinnati State, Tech Elevator, MAX Technical Training, Per Scholas, and University of Cincinnati
- 12 hiring partners: P&G, Kroger Technology, Great American Insurance Group, EW Scripps, Ascendum, Paycor, TQL, UC Health, NKU IT, Kingsgate Logistics and CVG
- Current roles being offered: software developers, IT business analysts, network security professionals, IT support admins, cloud specialists, cybersecurity occupations and more

Apprenti is a registered apprenticeship program powered by the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA). Apprenti trains future tech workers with an emphasis on underrepresented groups including women, minorities and veterans. Apprenti is an industry recognized, state and federally accredited program.
