Work-Based Learning

This dynamic program allows our members to work with high school seniors who want to enter the workforce immediately.

The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber is partnering with our local school districts to build a talent pipeline through work-based learning, an effort that pairs hands-on industry experience with classroom learning. This program is designed to create full-time employment opportunities for high school students upon graduation.

Participating employers work with our students to accelerate the training process through part-time work. Students gain on-site industry experience two days a week and study a corresponding curriculum three days a week. Typical program duration is 16 weeks. Employers are encouraged to make full-time offers upon graduation.

Current industry focus includes manufacturing, advanced manufacturing and information technology. Future industries could include automotive, hospitality and healthcare.
