April 14, 2020 From the Desk of Jill Meyer Our regional economy is being tested more than ever with the COVID-19 outbreak. Business leaders are finding themselves in challenging, unfamiliar circumstances, and it seems every day brings additional uncertainty. Your Cincinnati Chamber is navigating this present reality with a new level of fearlessness. We are confident that the Cincinnati region will emerge more tenacious and unified than before the arrival of Coronavirus. We are here to serve you. We’ve adapted our work to have a heightened focus on keeping businesses alive. The foundation of our mission is centered on helping businesses stay in business. And that’s why we’ve re-directed several Chamber staff to call all members, nearly 4,000 contacts. Our goal is to find out how we might best be able to provide assistance during this transient environment. Tell us how you are doing. There are around 46,000 small businesses in the Cincinnati region that represent industries most vulnerable to the economic impact of COVID-19. So, in partnership with the RESTART Task Force, Fifth Third Bank and the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber are deploying playbooks by industry to serve as a guide for business leaders to lead in our current reality. View the first playbook: Restaurants & Bars. Stay tuned for additional iterations of the RESTART Playbook.
