During an unprecedented convening with the regional banking community and RESTART Task Force, Fifth Third Bank Chairman, President and CEO Greg Carmichael mobilized a new conversation last week that underscored the critical role banking institutions play in steering small businesses through the COVID-19 storm. His message was clear— more than ever, our local small businesses need financial guidance and support to weather this pandemic. As new information emerges, the RESTART Task Force intends to keep businesses informed with practical and concise information about how to move forward. Initial guidance includes the basics on how to apply for loans through the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program.
And the support for small businesses doesn’t stop there. Last weekend, our community showed up in a big way to bolster those industries hardest hit by COVID-19, restaurant and entertainment businesses. For the first-time ever, the Taste of Cincinnati was a virtual experience. The online event was featured on 17 news/media segments, and was shared across social media generating 300+ impressions.
Let’s keep the momentum going—continue to show your support by purchasing a Carry Out, Carry On t-shirt and registering for the Virtual 5K.
The time is now to demonstrate the strength and resiliency of the Cincinnati region.
