Member Spotlight: Best Upon Request

Best Upon Request has been a Chamber Member since 2004. During this time, their staff has participated in C-Change, WE Lead and Leadership Cincinnati. Their CEO, Tillie Hidalgo Lima, is a member of Leadership Cincinnati Class XXIX, and WE Lead Class I. Additionally, they have claimed RESTART kits and have been members of the Chamber’s Minority Business Accelerator for 10 years.
In business since 1989, Best Upon Request is a certified Minority and Women Business Enterprise, and Corporate Plus® Member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, providing on-site concierge services to organizations nationwide. BEST helps employees save time and decrease stress, resulting in increased engagement and commitment to their employer. For healthcare clients, BEST also takes care of patients’ non-medical needs to improve the patient experience. With more than 50 on-site offices in 11 states, BEST serves customers in 20 states and Puerto Rico.
Best Upon Request loves innovating with their clients. More than three years ago, they created a Maternity Concierge program with Fifth Third Bank to serve their working mothers with infants. Ultimately opening the door to a new market for them in the healthcare industry. Best Upon Request is excited to grow in this market.
Hospitals are looking for ways to differentiate and increase market share. A program like this addresses the non-medical needs of moms and eases additional stressors for dads, family members and guests so they can focus on their new baby. Starting with their client, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, where they were already serving patients and guests at the Edgewood Hospital Emergency Department and providers with St. Elizabeth Physicians, they recognized how the Maternity Concierge program could make a difference for patients at their Family Birth Place. After hearing about this new program, a hospital in California, St. Jude Medical Center, reached out to them, to launch the same program for their maternity patients.
Best Upon Request helps – free of charge – even before they get admitted, and after they are discharged. Women make 80% of healthcare decisions in the U.S. and there is a lot to gain in developing positive, new relationships with moms and their families (the loss of lifetime household healthcare expenditure is estimated to be more than $1.5 million for hospitals).
Best Upon Request, for the second year in a row, has earned the Great Place to Work certification. And, they recently announced a new Board of Advisors.
Best Upon Request invites everyone to check out their website to learn more about our Maternity Concierge programs for working mothers and for hospitals and learn more about this resource that addresses wellness, gender equity and market differentiation for many organizations.
