March 17, 2020 United Way of Greater Cincinnati advancing allocations, donating to emergency fund United Way notified its 140 partner agencies Friday that it would advance one month’s allocation and be flexible with 2020 accountability requirements so organizations can respond to immediate needs related to the COVID-19 outbreak. The organization will also be donating $500,000 to an emergency community fund to help the Greater Cincinnati area cope with the effects of the outbreak and needs that are likely to arise, such as food, childcare, housing assistance and more. In addition, United Way is expanding its efforts to facilitate direct communication of partner needs and opportunities. The organization is monitoring needs as they arise and working with partner agencies and other key community institutions to continue providing resources.
