Apprenti Cincinnati is Actively Recruiting Employers for Cybersecurity Analyst Program
Apprenti Cincinnati is actively recruiting employers for our latest occupation – cybersecurity analyst. This offering is in partnership with the University of Cincinnati’s Ohio Cyber Range Institute (UC OCRI). The OCRI program was formalized last year when the state of Ohio awarded the university nearly $1M to further develop a cyber range to defend Ohio from cyber-attacks and continue to build a strong pipeline for cyber talent.
This Apprenti Cincinnati role will allow apprentices to obtain credit from the University of Cincinnati, as well as sit for CompTIA Network+, Security+ and more.
The Chamber launched Apprenti Cincinnati initiative in February of last year. To date, 35 people have been moved into the program across six occupations – software developer, IT business analyst, IT support, network security, cloud computing and cybersecurity analyst. Apprenti Cincinnati has 25 percent minority representation and 27.8 percent female representation in our current apprentices. Our candidates that are ready to meet with employers include 36 percent female representation and 40 percent minority representation.
This latest partnership is ideal for employers focused on an inclusive restart post COVID-19. They can take advantage of the apprenticeship framework and reskill employees into critical roles while opening up additional opportunities for professionals that are unemployed as a result of the pandemic. Apprenti Cincinnati is available to manage all of the apprenticeship process and source new talent for employers if preferred.
