This panel features five Black women who are CEOs, owners, leaders, and influencers in our region. The panel discussion will center on the unique realities of being a Black woman in business and ways that our region benefits from their wisdom and leadership. Panelists will share stories of their lived work realities and discuss the tactics they’ve had to deploy to navigate workplace culture, build relationships, achieve a sense of belonging and psychological safety. The panelists promise to have an authentic conversation, equipping allies with ways to support and empowering other women of color to boldly show up as their full selves.

Black Executives in Our Region: How Our Region Can Support and Grow Black Talent
Mentorship and informal networks can work to strengthen and lift Black talent in our region. Panel participants have been both mentors and mentees and will offer perspective to leaders in our region about how to help create connections and support younger leaders who are seeking mentors. These unique relationships are central to investing in talent and showing the world that Black leaders can make an impact and realize success in Cincinnati.

This panel discussion features Cincinnatians who are improving and investing in our region’s Black culture—through music, art, community, faith, and events. Each panelist brings a unique perspective on how our community can more intentionally celebrate the vibrancy of Black culture and recognize the value it brings to our community. By sharing their personal stories and lived experience, each panelist will share ideas on how Cincinnati can be recognized as city that embraces Black excellence and is welcoming to all residents. Ultimately, addressing how the region can be a place for Black talent to work AND play.
