THE PAST YEAR HAS BEEN OF RACIAL RECKONING, FINDING NEW SYSTEMS OF OPERATIONS, AND SHIFTING WHAT'S NORMAL.

For your Cincinnati Chamber it has also emphasized the power and plight of perseverance and that what’s “normal” shouldn’t and must no longer be the bar to which we measure “good”.
When we first launched #MakingBlackHistory, our series recognizing seven leaders living and working in our region creating legacies today, it was in response to a reckoning of sorts happening within our business community. At the time, it forced us to re-examine the norms of how we welcomed, recognized, uplifted, and supported our region’s black leadership and emerging black talent. #MakingBlackHistory was born from our desire to celebrate this exact perseverance that has inspired so many this year, and that our region’s black leadership has had to display over and over again, and year after year.
Now, in our third year, the Cincinnati Regional Chamber commits to pushing harder to elevate, empower and support our black leadership today, tomorrow, and all year long.
Thank to the selection panel, our sponsor Ohio National Financial Services and most of all, to this year’s honorees for their perseverance, define the standard in his or her career, and creating a path for all who follow.
